Cable Knitting

Description

Learn how to create beautiful twisted braid patterns in this cable knitting class. You can choose to make either a cable knit cushion cover or a mobile phone sock from one of our patterns. Both are simple to knit – cables are easier than you might perhaps think and very doable for a competent beginner knitter.

Materials are not provided for the class, see the notes below on what to bring.

You need to bring:
Yarn for the project you want to make:

• for the phone sock you will need a 50g ball of any dk weight yarn.
• for the cushion cover you will need 300g of dk weight yarn, – if you wish to have one side of your cushion knitted and the other side fabric then you need only 150g of yarn. Please note that you will not have time to finish the cushion during class.

Please also bring a set of 4mm knitting needles. We will provide a U-shaped cable needle which you can take home with you.

You need to be able to confidently knit and purl for this class.

This is a 1:1 class – just you and the teacher.
