Handles: cake slices, pens and crochet hooks
Class Date and Time:
Tuesday September 12th, 18:00 – 19:30
Saturday December 2nd, 14:00 – 15:30
We provide all the materials, but you need to tell us what you’d like to cover
No experience is needed for this class – we will tell you everything you need to know! The process is remarkably easy and no special skills are needed.
We will make colourful canes and marbling effect coverings from Polymer Clay (Fimo).
We will provide all the materials – there will be a selection of colours of Fimo to choose from and you need to choose what to cover. We will probably have time to do three items of your choice from:
– a metal cake slice (6 CHF)
– a crochet hook (2 CHF)
– a non-retractable biro pen* (1 CHF)
* The ink in the non-retractable biro can be replaced – you just need to remove the interior part with a pair of pliers and push in a new one.
Your items will need to be baked after the class so you won’t be able to take them home directly after class. We will bake, sand and buff them for you, and you can pick them up at The Craft Room a few days later. The clay will have a matt finish, if you prefer a shiny look then you can varnish your item yourself afterwards – either come along to one of our open sessions, or we can give you instructions to do it at home.
