The techniques vary from easy to more complex, so look at the difficulty rating to work out if the class is for you.

Beginner classes are suited to those who have started to crochet basic stitches and would like to learn more basic techniques.
Intermediate classes are for those who are comfortable with the basic stitches and would like to learn more interesting techniques.
Advanced classes are for ambitious crocheters who are looking to take on a challenge.

Crocheting in Colour
Difficulty rating: beginner

Description:
Changing colour is a simple way to add interest to a crochet piece. In this class you will learn how to create neat colour changes and how to carry your yarn when using two or more colours at a time. You will have the choice of a couple of simple projects to practice techniques for working in different colours.


Overlay Crochet

Description:
Learn how to create stunning textures using overlay crochet. By working in different loops and using a variety of stitches and non-traditional stitch placement, you can create beautiful textured items. We will use Lilla Björn’s Circles of the Sun patterns to introduce you to the techniques used in overlay crochet.

Amigurumi
Difficulty rating: beginner/intermediate

Cost: 80.-
Materials: all materials are provided, including yarn, hook, safety eyes, stuffing and a copy of Easy Crochet Critters pattern book with 10 amigurumi patterns.

Amigurimi are small creatures made from yarn. The word is a portmanteau of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. While the technique has been well known in Japan for many decades, it has massively increased in popularity in the Western world in the last decade. Learn how to make your own at this workshop which includes all you need to make your first amigurumi. Creatures pictured are included in the pattern book.

Granny Squares are the most iconic form of crochet, instantly recognisable and extremely versatile. This is an ideal workshop for beginners starting out in crochet. We will show you a variety of granny square patterns that you can combine into a project of your choosing.
