Fair Isle (mug cozy)

Difficulty rating: intermediate
Price: 60.-
Materials: We provide all the materials (bamboo needles and DK weight acrylic yarn in various colours)

We will learn how to knit a fair isle pattern mug cozy.

Fair isle is an easy way to make colourful knits. Fair Isle patterns have a maximum of two colours per row and not more than 4 stitches of one colour before switching to the next, creating “stranding” across the back of the work – this is what makes fair isle thick and warm to wear.

You can use our design for the mug cozy or you can make your own design instead with words or patterns.

You need to bring yarn and needles – we recommend you purchase at least 200g of your selected yarn, and please refer to the ball label to be sure you have the right size needles. See our blog post on buying yarn here if you need help with that.
